News & Interest Will Be Coming Soon To All Users!

News & Interest Will Be Coming Soon To All Users! – Recently Microsoft announced that it will soon release the News & Interest feature that was first announced for the Insider Dev Channel on preview build 21286,on all Windows 10 users. And reportedly this release is only a few weeks away.

“As people spend more time on their Windows PCs, working, learning, connecting and creating, we’re making it easier to access personalized content that is available at a glance and updated throughout the day. News and interests on the Windows taskbar will begin rolling out to customers over the next several weeks. We are taking a phased and measured approach and broad availability will occur in the coming months.” Note Microsoft.

Regarding this feature, for the uninitiated, with this feature users can get quick access through the integrated feed in the Windows 10 taskbar, the content provided will change dynamically and adjust the news, and weather is always updated.

Well even so, there is no clear date and time yet when Microsoft will launch this feature, but my estimate is, this feature will be launched on the patch tuesday in May 2021.

For sure, Office 2021 Will Be Named Office LTSC!

For sure, Office 2021 Will Be Named Office LTSC! – Some time ago Microsoft in its official page announced that the next version of Office is ready to launch as part of the commercial preview, and you know, it turns out that rumors about the naming of Office is true and may happen.

Yep, it was previously rumored that for Windows users, Microsoft Office (non Microsoft 365) who have a license forever, is not named Microsoft Office 2021, but will be named Microsoft Office LTSC (Office LTSC) for Windows, this is confirmed by Microsoft itself in the following page.

“Today we’re pleased to announce the commercial preview of Microsoft Office Long Term Servicing Channel (LTSC) for Windows and Office 2021 for Mac. The next perpetual version of Office for commercial customers is built specifically for organizations running regulated devices that cannot accept feature updates for years at a time, process control devices that are not connected to the internet in manufacturing facilities, and specialty systems that must stay locked in time and require a long-term servicing channel. Office LTSC will provide the familiar productivity tools you have experienced with Office 2019, now with faster performance and expanded accessibility. You can preview Office LTSC and Office 2021 for Mac starting today. “

And if you notice, the one that will bring the year number is Office 2021 for mac only, while for Windows it will bring ltsc at the end of the sentence.

Meanwhile, regarding the features presented, office LTSC will reportedly bring a number of features that have been released for Microsoft 365 such as the new XLOOKUP in Excel, and others. Another big change from the app is that Microsoft Teams will now be installed by default, replacing Skype for Bussinees.

Supported OS

This latest version of Microsoft Office can be installed on the following OS,

  • Windows 10 Semi-Annual Channel
  • Windows 10 LTSC 2019
  • Windows Server 2019

That said, since it’s still a preview, it’s possible that this naming will change again.

Did You Know, Aero Shake Can Be Reactivated Via Settings

Did You Know, Aero Shake Can Be Reactivated Via Settings – A little information for windows 10 users, as we know, Microsoft already plans to eliminate Aero Shake in Windows 10, and even since Build Preview 21282, Aero Shake has been notified by default.

Well about this, if you happen to like this feature because it feels useful for you to use, on Build Preview 21364 released some time ago Microsoft seems to have added the option to enable/disable Aero Shake in Windows 10.

This was first announced by Microsoft in the Changelog Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 21364 which was updated some time ago, where in that build users can find the Title bar window shake option in Settings > System > Multitasking.

  • [ADDED 4/22] You can now turn off Aero Shake via Settings > System > Multitasking and choosing the “off” toggle under “Title bar window shake”. This setting is now off by default so for those who want it back will need to turn this setting on.

So, if you are an Insider who feels you have lost the feature, you can now activate it again easily, just make sure you are already using Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 21364 or later, and activate it through the Settings shown above.

To be honest, I myself prefer an option like this, where Microsoft doesn’t completely eliminate features in Windows 10, but rather gives users the option to disable or reactivate them.

Revealed!, This Is What Firefox’s New Tab Design Looks Like…

Revealed!, This Is What Firefox’s New Tab Design Looks Like… – It has been rumored since some time ago that Firefox will change the look of their Web Browser, by being developed using Proton, this time the design of Firefox will look more modern and in my opinion tends to be a little similar to the Chromium browser.

In the picture above, it appears that that’s what Mozilla Firefox looks like right now, and here’s the new look.

As you can see in the image above, although it does not seem too changed, but if noticed, the design of the new Firefox tab is more similar to the Tab design of Microsoft Edge Chromium, although I think it is cooler firefox design as in the picture above.

Aside from the description, it is still unclear when, and what other looks, but reportedly for those of you who want to try this new look, you can use Firefox Nightly by enabling the config “browser.proton.tabs.enabled”.

Winget Get Uninstall Function

Winget Get Uninstall Function – An interesting news for you Winget Preview users, because reportedly, Winget or Windows Package Manager will soon get the implementation of the uninstall function.

Yep in other words, later we as users can do and use the command winget uninstall the name of the application, to perform the removal of the application quickly through a command prompt.

This feature is certainly very useful, especially for Linux and Mac users who are used to installing apps via Terminal, and with the presence of the uninstall option, of course it is very complementary to winget that has just been introduced.

Even so, of course, the implementation step of this feature still takes a little time because currently the uninstall feature is still in the Spec In Progressstage, for those of you who are curious, you can see the ikhtisiar of this project on the following GitHub page.

Firefox 85 Released, Comes with Supercookie Protections – Some time ago Mozilla launched Firefox 85 for all its users, where in this version there are a number of improvements including new security features that will certainly protect users from unknown foreign actions.

Yep, the new feature is supercookie protections, where these properties will isolate supercookies so they can’t track and profile users when users go from website to website
